The GCQ system integrates hospital, clinical and radiological data and delivers patient information directly to caregivers'via handheld or desktop computers. It enables doctors and other healthcare professionals to access comprehensive real-time patient data at the point-of-care and anywhere where there is cellular or WiFi network coverage.
GCQ establishes wireless, multi-modal bi-directional data streams between PDAs and a variety of data sources distributed in the medical enterprise. These data streams contain up-to-date patient census lists, demographics, clinical laboratory results, diagnostic, operative and other reports in electronic format, medication lists, life waveforms, parameter and trends of vital signs from bedside monitors, radiological images such as CT, CR, MRI, PET, etc.
Easily customizable, XML-formatted data inputs from the PDA are seamlessly and timely transmitted back to the HIS, to other caregivers involved in the patient care, referring physicians and even to patient relatives. GCQ enables medical enterprises to improve patient care, decrease medical errors and shorten length of stay by streamlining clinical workflow and efficiency.
The GCQ system runs on both Palm™ OS and Pocket PC devices as well as standard MS Windows 32 based desktop computers (Win98/2K/ME/NT/XP) and even Macintosh via Virtual PC software. Several major hospitals and small medical practices in the US and around the world are considering GCQ installations.
